And the way Fev players are 'dropping' (with a distinct possibility that it's Covid related) we may be lucky to raise a team

Sales of tiny, tiny violins are rocketing, I hear.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

To be honest mate teams are all in the same boat, they would be better announcing the world Cup is off and extending the season, and having a"fire break" 2 months to get players clear, this season is heading towards been dead and gone, too much disruption, positive tests and players isolating.

Unfortunately we have clueless clowns steering the ship and unable to see anything below super league, featherstone could end up losing 1 game and win absolutely nothing and that's difficult to understand, we at the Rams have a dilemma next week, we're due to go to toulouse on the 25th of July, restrictions end on the 19th..but yet no decision on whether we're going, could find out Monday and then have 5 days to organise travel, hotels, players work commitments... For a game we've no chance of winning with covid absentees, injurys, games on its a.Rse if we're all honest, Craig lingard wrote an interesting piece about the game on facebook well worth checking out.

The problem with having a break is no one knows what covid will be like then it could be a lot worse. I think it’s best to get it over with ,every team has and will suffer it’s unfortunate.

I hope that percentages don’t come into it and promotion and relegation is won on the field which is how it should be but more importantly all the clubs manage to survive with covid and the uncertainty of funding for next year.

It is so easy to blame the RFL, yet I have heard constant praise from Championship club chairmen about what they have done to help during the crisis.

Some fans seem to think that it takes about five minutes to write a solution on the back of an envelope without having ever faced up to the problems that the game currently faces.

Cancelling the World Cup will cost the RFL a fortune; going ahead with it might still cost a fortune: your call.

I  don't hold the SL clubs in thrall but it is their games that Sky pays for - without them then the Championship clubs will be existing on gate money and sponsorship.  Try running a league on that basis.

Nobody willed Covid on the world and the problems of RL are a truly minor issue in the sweep of things, but it's impact upon our game could not have been forseen nor are there obvious answers available. We all want things to go back to "normal" but they never will and, somehow, the game needs to navigate its way towards a successful place or, possibly, survival. Blaming the RFL is not the way.

(Before anyone asks, I have no solutions to our problems but believe that they can only be solved by the game as a whole, not by internal factions.)

Game seems to be just bungling along like tumble weed, no direction, no plan of action.. Once funding goes who knows what will happen.. Not enough sugar daddies to go around, don't want any team to disappear, just appears the game is treading water until eventually a club drowns and disappears.. There's no quick fix or easy solution to this conundrum.. The game waits with bated breath for the next chapter 🤔🤔

Half the problem is, when a club shows ambition, direction and a plan of action, supporters of the sport start rubbing their hands with glee after a run of defeats and make out the whole club is doomed, cos essentially they're jealous of the fact their club has literally sat stagnant for at least the last decade and tried nothing new.

Some RL fans revel in misery, and go round talking everything down, so things always seem worse than they are.

Maybe stop revelling in anything negative surrounding the sport and things will seem a bit brighter all round?

Looks like it's going to be John Kear who Ward's replacing.

Suppose it will keep saving Bradford money on hair gel costs.
