Hull will have a few players back for this one but Connor is out for a month with the knee injury he got in the all stars game. So the big selection question for Hull is who plays full back. Could go Connor Wynne, or could go Swift with Vulikijapani keeping his wing spot. He was very good against Huddersfield.

With all due respect to Leigh it should be a comfortable afternoon for Hull. Leigh are struggling for front row options just now and I expect Satae and Sao to pretty much do as they please down the middle and we will play off that. The only way we come unstuck is if we just go through the motions. If we play with intensity then I can't see where Leigh can hurt us. They just don't have the quality available to them at the minute.

After the last encounter a couple of weeks ago, I very strongly believe that Hull will use this game as a full on contested training session, as you say Leigh cannot contain the strength of the Hull pack, once Hull get a couple of scores in front and gained confidence that they won't lose, I consider the ball will be like a hot potato and they will be trying running different lines and putting on new moves, it could easily end up with more than the 64 they posted at the LSV.

Hull 24 Leigh 0

If you cant beat em, join em, just put some lemon juice on a Lateral flow test !!!

In seriousness, its damage limitation. Hull by a lot , especially with no Bell or Brierley (and no first team to be fair)

Doesn’t sound as if Brierley is in a good way.  Fingers crossed for him.

Kick off changed to 1.30pm now.

From the Hull FC website :

"Hull FC and Leigh Centurions recognise that Sunday is now a significant day in the national sporting calendar with the England football team scheduled to play against Italy in the European Championship Final later that evening – their first major final since 1966.

Therefore, all parties have agreed to a slightly earlier than scheduled kick-off time of 1:30pm.

This will allow supporters, guests and match day staff the opportunity to enjoy Sunday’s Betfred Super League contest between Hull FC and Leigh Centurions, before joining friends and family later in the day to experience this national sporting event."

Might have been a struggle to get home with the game originally kicking off at 3pm, thus allowing only 3 hours and 15 mins roughly, to get where you "needed" to be.

Now speccies have just short of 5 hours to find their way to where they want to be.

Thank goodness for that.

Hull have just announced that 7 players are having to isolate, and so is Hodgson, but they still fully intend for the match to go ahead. No indication yet who is actually going to be unavailable.

I think they could give Johnny Whiteley a game in this one and they will be okay.

Fair play to Hull.

They might beat us by 46 now.

Looks like the white flag has gone up. Peteru and Peats on loan to Huddersfield.

Cunningham and Ashworth coming the other way now apparently, to free up quota spots for overseas signings. Was pretty puzzled when John Davidson first reported on Peats/Peteru but it's actually not a bad bit of business with the swap players.

Who are the overseas players though?
