I feel the opposite. I think Half-time came too soon for Cas and they’ll lose momentum now Saints have a chance to regather. A lot will depend on who scores first. If Saints do they’ll run away with it IMO, whereas if Cas score first they’ll squeeze a narrow victory.

I agree with you there mate. If I was Cas at this point I would be looking to score anytime they were up there even if it’s 1 point. Saints need to step up but with the quality they do have in that back line, if Cas tire then Saints will score.

Good luck to both sides and keep up the entertainment 👏

Thoroughly enjoying this as a game. It demonstrates just why we need the BBC to get these out rather than behind the paywall of Sky. I don't mind Sky providing the bulk of the money and the core of the league game, but these cup games on free-to-view can't be beaten.

Agreed. The BBC really are good at this stuff too. Considering maybe 10 years ago we used to be disgusted with how the sport was portrayed I think they are a breath of fresh air now. Modern, smart, entertaining, no ads, it's great!

The catalogue of negativity from the beeb panel made me think it was made up of posters on here.

I was just about to post that

I hope the Saints fans weren't listening to Wilkin, they may as well head for home now

Been a fabulous 40 minutes in intense heat. Can we please not call whoever loses chokers. Hate that term and takes 2 teams for a game.

Completely agree. Saints are the double Champions in the last two years. And Cas are the underdogs but playing very well…

No he jumped from outside the field of play, incorrect decision

That had a lot to look at, he got the right decision, and explained it very well. Very good refereeing.

Interesting , i thought you needed both feet back in play

If that's the rule he got it wrong, but I'd be surprised as he specifically looked for that infringement.

The last contact he has with the ground before touching the ball was his foot *in* the field of play. Therefore he was inside the pitch. It was the correct decision. Fine margins, but correct.
