Can you jump from outside the field and touch the ball?  What is the rule on that?

Technically he was in the field as his right foot was in the field when his other was up in the air. Therefore in play.

The officials have got that right. Grace got himself back in play by a split second.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

No, but because he had one foot in the field of play, as soon as his other foot is off the ground he's back in play

I thought if you jumped from outside of the field of play, you were deemed to be in touch.

One foot on ground afterwards with other foot off (despite over line) before touching ball, would then put him back in play wouldn’t it?

Weirdly if he did the same thing while catching a ball in the in goal it's classed as jumping from outside the in goal isn't it?

Jeez, now isn't the time for a quiz, my head is hurting with all this 🤣

Still thought it went slightly forward off Percival though. Tough call.

So did I. Close call though, and the other decisions (ball not in touch, foot not in touch) were correct.

The last contact he has with the ground before touching the ball was his foot *in* the field of play. Therefore he was inside the pitch. It was the correct decision. Fine margins, but correct.

Based on the Laws or your opinion?

But it looked to me that it hit the touch line.

I was about to say that the the three quarters will have a say before long, and Saints get in.
