Jmu28
Hi All. recently got into rugby league but undecided on what team to support. I have 2 options Hull fc and Warrington wolves. reasons for this are quite silly but here goes. Hull fc- same last name as hull player Houghton. wolves- wolf tattooed on calf. Thanks If you think its going to be your year this year then Warrington, if you like overpaying for match tickets its Hull. Either way you should get a few days out to wembley with the odd cup win here and there

Thanks Welcome to Rugby League. I think this scenario is hard to imagine for many of us as we are either from RL families and born into supporting a team or we live in areas close to a particular team. For me, my family have supported Saints for a long time and I am blessed to be in an era of many trophies for my team. That said I love to watch exciting attacking RL and if I was choosing a team these days it would be a struggle. In Super League only Hull KR, Wakefield and Cas at times have played different exciting rugby so far this year. The strong teams have become boring to watch at times sadly although now Catalans are up there they could offer a spark…if I was choosing now I guess then I would go for Catalans. A choice between Hull FC and Warrington? Hull everyday for me. Does it have to be a Super League team? Toulouse and Newcastle seem on the verge of special things. Don’t rush whatever, enjoy your Rugby, watch as much as you can and make your mind up on the basis of enjoyment rather than your tattoo
JF1
Assuming you are not local to any team,so have an open mind,I'd go for a team with a chance of winning something, whilst also having a good atmosphere at the ground, should you be able to attend. In that case, your 2 suggestions seem sensible. At the risk of causing apoplexy on here, may I also suggest Leeds ,Hull KR or Castleford.
Sports Prophet
Those teams are so far from each other, I assume you have no adversity to the location of the club @Jmu28? As such, get on board with the mighty Cronulla Sharks! Best RL club on the planet.

Thanks First off welcome to the game and forum. May I ask what part of the country where you born and currently live? Also I’m fascinated in how you stumbled across the game? Was it the recent challenge cup final at Wembley?

Old Frightful
Ullefsee all the way!, but then, I'm biased. Both Wire and Hull are generally recognised as not being as successful as they perhaps should have been recently so it's always the way to back an underdog. I would say Warrington's backer, Simon Moran, has far deeper financial pockets than the Hull FC chairman Adam Pearson. So, following the underdog basis, Hull FC should be your choice. Seriously though, like others, I'm very interested in how you came to be interested in our great game and also your location. Whoever you decide to follow, I hope you quickly learn to appreciate even more what a terrific product Rugby League is and continue to be amazed at what the players put their bodies through even though most of them earn less in a year than lots of footballers earn in a week. Enjoy! Hull FC....The Sons of God... (Well, we are about to be crucified on Good Friday)

Smudger06
Depends where he is from, if he's not got strong family or friend ties to a Club surely it would be a choice of Clubs with home grounds within reasonable travel time & cost to his gaff, if none of above then probably the club with a sound club shop & a good range of merchandise in wearable colour's + the most interesting and informative social media feeds (as won't be going to ground very much)
