Is there a realistic chance any of these three will get a go in the NRL?

2019 and 2020 season have been unusual and not conducive to expansion, more consolidation.

A couple of seasons of consolidation needed first do you reckon?

Looking at those  the Firehawks colour combo appeals most. I'm guessing you prefer the Dolphins one RLW!

Maybe a bit more gold for Dolphins would help??

Purists will be satisfied with the proposed colours and jersey design of the newly named Brisbane Firehawks franchise bid. Wests Tigers fans may not.

The jersey upholds tradition by adorning a double-chevron, synonymous with many of rugby league’s most cherished teams.

The iconic gold and black of Brisbane’s Eastern Suburbs Tigers has been retained to acknowledge their history in the Brisbane Rugby League Premiership.

The addition of a royal blue will represent Moreton Bay and the Brisbane River. The scheme of colours is comparable to the NBA’s New York Knicks.

Supposed to be gold black and royal blue not purple.

Not good news, but I suppose it’s not unexpected given the cost of Covid arrangements and relocations.

The NRL are set to delay expansion plans to introduce a 17th team and fourth Queensland side due to the financial strain caused by the latest Covid crisis.

The Courier Mail reported plans to bring in a new Brisbane team in 2023 have been halted due to the cost of moving 12 teams to Queensland to finish the NRL season after NSW’s latest Covid outbreak.

The NRL broke the news to the competition’s 16 teams on Tuesday night with expansion potentially delayed until 2024 as the game scrambles to remain financially viable.

Well the rugby league journos did say at the end of the the Super League War in December 1997, it would take the game 50 years to recover to the point, the game was at in 1995 with a successful 20 team national competition. 26 years on from 1995 it is looking like those journos were pretty spot on the mark.
