I feared for us early in second half as we'd defended for 40 mins and scored on only two visits to their line in the first. I did think if we could get in their twenty they were vulnerable, and boy was I right, we ripped them to bits second half and for those who couldn't make it or went to Featherstone instead, get the DVD is all I can say you won't be disappointed!

I can't believe that any Batley supporter would go to watch another team when we play. Whenever I miss a game, I feel so guilty that I hang myself upside down while my wife flagellates me with a wet Dewsbury sock (see St Peter) for the duration of the match. Makes it very difficult to follow on twitter!

At 6-16, I feared if they’d added to that, they might have blown us away. But this team always hangs in there, and our superior size and pace took us away from them comfortably. Great dogged performance from all.

They looked decent with ball in hand, but our superior pack and the guile from Tom the difference.

Great win for your lot.

All I can say is, well done. Enjoy!

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
