Aw, don't go, I was just starting to have fun!! We can disagree with each other and still communicate you know, this is a discussion forum not a world summit. Bet we don't even have the same favourite colour! ☺

As a long standing Fev supporter  i think instead of us being deducted 2 points the 28-18 win should have been scrubbed and Batley awarded a 24-0 win and 2 points. We had a load of injuries and if a few more players than Ferres had to isolate we couldn't have raised a team.Batley played well Sunday just a couple of silly mistakes that we scored off.I think we were value for about an 8 point win but not 15.Good luck for the rest of the season.

There is no hatred here, there's a couple of comments about 'the incident', nothing particularly inflammatory or insulting as far as I can see, but we get called pitch-forkers for daring to have an opinion. I wasn't at the game yesterday, so I can't comment on it.

We were told up-thread not to visit the Fev forum if easily offended, yet you all seem to be here, clutching your pearls over nothing.

Get thi posts reight....

You were told to avoid the Facebook banter page if you were easily offended. There is an official Facebook page and of course the TRL forum.

You can post whatever opinion you like. If I feel its worth calling out, then I will. That's how a forum works.

Thank you, that's very kind of you. I hope you continue in your success too and that if you go up, you manage to shake up the old SL fossils.

BUT not all Fev fans are on social media and haven't defended the club ,i for one agreed it was wrong and the club got punished but it's still not enough for some other fans .

It is the so called 'punishment' that really grates me about this incident.

What punishment? 2 League points, that you shouldn't have been able/allowed to win in the first place, and a £10k fine, that your chairman could probably find down the back of his car seat, it's probably not even enough to cover Kopczak and Chisholm's monthly wage bill.

I fail to see how this can be called a punishment, more like a token gesture! Where is the deterrent to anyone thinking of doing the same?

Just supposing Toulouse decided that they were going to hide the fact that 12 players should be self isolating prior to the GF, and decided to ignore the rules and play them anyway. I can almost hear the wringing of flat caps from here. I am sure a few weeks later, once it came out, and the result stood, and the punishment was a measly £10k fine, that the Fev fans would take it with equally good grace, and simply put it behind them.

As noted on the main forum, Des Johnson at Barrow was banned for 8 years for cheating the salary cap. I don't remember many defending him, stating his punishment was harsh!

Whether it grates on you or I is irrelevant. West Yorkshire police, Wakefield Council and the RFL have all heard the evidence and judgement passed.

Punitive action on from the RFL.

It's done. Finished. Over with... whether you or I agree or not.

I and my great grand daughter who as started coming with me enjoyed it even though we lost. We where sat in the Glen Tomlinson stand amongst Fev fans, and to say they where upset by Fev's tactics and not applying the killing touch was so.ething to behold, don't get me wrong they weren't being abusive just grumbling.

Have you never grumbled?  You can bet your Chairman wasn't  grumbling with all  the money spent by Fev fans lol.

Most people share your view Gittinsfan. A minority don't. That's life. I came on here to read your fans views of the game and all that the result has done seems to re ignited hatred. Reading your Widnes posts from last week was full of praise for your team but little or none this week.

I never got to the game so I can't really comment.I do know where you are coming from though.

Surely not! Ours is a prime example of balance and understanding. All opinions backed up by facts and good sense. Emotions nowhere to be seen.

Hopefully we play fev maybe again in the playoffs ( decent record against them) but who knows what’s happening with 1-6 or 2-7

Yes of course I've grumbled, but I'm usually in with Batley supporters it's just the gtgranddaughter wanted to go into the stand and the lower section was quite crowded so went into the upper section, I enjoyed the banter with the Fev supporters.

I don't suppose he was and also the amount that Batley fans where spending as well.

Decent game I thought we matched fev there easily both half’s - I do wonder if we hadn’t of gifted featherstone 12 points in the first half would it of been different... who knows I credit the lads yesterday who put there hand up for our club I thought we looked tired 2nd half after a few defensive sets - I think we had one maybe two six again’s all game with 2 penalties - I thought featherstone did what Toulouse did to them... anyway hopefully now we can pick up a few results and form for the play offs swinton and Sheffield two big weeks!

Taking the drop goal when having a sustained period of pressure was an odd thing to do, especially after a couple of very good attacking kicks to force a drop out. A 1 point lead playing up the hill was never going to be enough.

Possibly. I can't remember how close it was to half time. I do think that we were looking for that extra lift for the second half. Perhaps we should have been more ambitious though personally I thought at half time we were well in the game. What was more important was the drop from the kick off which set the tone for the half. We needed to set our own pace at the beginning of the second half and failed in that.

However, I thought we played well, with no shortage of effort in both halves. Over the course of the season against Fev, we have proven that as a team we probably deserve to be where we are, and that there isn't too much between us, Bradford and Halifax.

I remember commenting at the time that I'd have been disappointed had Fev taken the DG in a role reversal and also backing my comment up when the hooter went after there'd been enough time for another attacking set.

Fair enough, but I am not sure that the drop goal was the crucial part of the game.

Probably not, but a 6 point gap not only puts extra pressure on the side trailing but gives something more substantial to defend.

Again, perhaps. Or maybe we saw taking the lead as a positive after such a dreadful start. Anyway, it is all finished and done with now. The real plus for all of us was that we got to see a competitive game of rugby on Sunday afternoon.

on occasion we have been known to play better uphill than downhill. i guess we lost the toss, and Fev chose to play up hill first half.   swings and roundabouts (bsj)

i thought we were terrific on Sunday with a patched up side

I really thought we were going to get hammered.

I like Fev, their supporters are honest working folk just like us.

i wish them well but again so proud of our boys.

not a bit interested in the 2 point deduction fiasco, its over.

That's right Just watched it back and the kick off told me   you lost the toss

The team which loses the toss for choice of ends kicks off to start the first half of the game

Best away game I've been to this season (Wembley excluded)

Great time in the Wellington before the game.

Great facilities in the ground

Great value for money

Great first half (love a bit of jeopardy)

Great result for Fev

Friendly people everywhere, it was a treat.

Can't wait to experience it again.
