I must admit that when i have heard racist language a game i tell the person or persons once to cut it out and tell them if i hear it again they will be very sorry afterwards, and some still don't get the message at that time, but they do later, and that's no BS

Can't say even as a Warrington fan these comments are uttered by morons in Warrington colours ive witnessed Warrington fans fighting with each other usually full of drink, find who they are and throw the book at them.

“Say it to my face” or threats of violence are stupid and don’t actually solve anything whatsoever, so it’s an odd suggestion to be levelled.

I expect Warrington, if they find the culprit and they’re found guilty to have said what Oledzki, to hand out a lengthy stadium ban.

Not sure who said what but if something bad was said they should make whoever said it say it again to his face.

Erm. I've never been the victim of racist abuse but I don't imagine victims enjoy a re-run.

I really hope there's evidence to prove what happened either way and anyone found to have done it should be banned from all RL games for life. I'd like to think Warrington will be proactive in assisting with any investigations.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Done that a couple of times myself, I`m not a bloke who goes looking for trouble, but racist stuff makes me see red, usually they`re so shocked someone says something they pull their heads in.

I`ll tell you what though, since I`ve been back up here in the country, it`d be a foolish man who says anything racist about the aborigines, Rugby League wouldn`t exist with out our Koori mates in the country, you`d be out on your ear in a flash.

Do you mean you resort to violence, intimidation etc?

I don’t think anyone was being serious.

obviously i dont know all of the warrington fans that were there last night, but i saw enough of the SW20 nobbers there who are known to the club, and would suspect one of them to be involved in it.

SW20? Do Wire have a fan club in Wimbledon?

I did think that when I posted it.

South West 20 metre area, there the ones that pre pandemic were lighting smoke bombs , the club taped off the back row of the south stand so they could have stewards keeping an eye on them.

Late teens, early 20 somethings, act like idiots.

Racism has no place in sport or the life we live in. The culprit should receive an automatic lifetime ban.

Absolutely no place I agree.

I think a lifetime ban is a fairly blunt instrument though, and not sure it solves much.  A while back Warrington organised a meet up between Robert Hicks and a fan that had abused him over twitter.  Off the back of that I think the fan received a shorter ban, the hope being that education and facing up to the comments he made would have a stronger effect than simply banning him from a rugby ground on the individual.

When I first started dating the mother of my daughter, who has Jamaican heritage, I took her to the 2006 GF, afterwards she told me she enjoyed the game, despite not having a scooby, but the Racial comments she heard put her off watching another game, even on the TV.

Out of interest, what race is Oledski? Isn't he white caucasian?

Did they call him a white caucasian *****? Or was the abuse directed at his nationality?

Neither is acceptable, but I wish these incidents would be better defined, rather than lumping everything on the 'race' card

racism

[mass noun]

Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

It`s a measure of the strange times we`re living through on the subject of "race" that we get so far down the page before someone asks the above pertinent question.

A lot of posts on this forum in recent days about Aussies would be hard to justify if Australians were regarded as a race.
