We're almost in position to name a starting 17 of confirmed players! here's how it looks at the moment...

Pickersgill
Gale
Hardcastle
Hall
Briscoe
Holmes
Chisholm
Kopczak
Jones
Moors
Ferres
Hellewell
Field
subs
Davies
Cooper
Smith
Wildie

Well we now have an actual starting 17 with the confirmation that Matty Wildie's back.

Key off-season question: does he regain his former position as leader of the victory song or is Coops going to fight him off?

Why would Welham leave us to join Aston at Sheffield, surely his contract would not be as good as ours or is the change of coach a reason ???

Would you see him get in over hardy and hall

hall could be used as a second ball playing fullback and his play reading on the edge is outstanding

hardy is probably our most under rated player nothing gets past him in defence and he makes solid yards every game

If his decision was based on a coach think he would have gone back to kear

Not surprising news this but Nu has been confirmed as returning to Australia with his partner.

Had a fine year with us, glad he isn't going to another British club anyway. We look set at half back with Holmes, Chisholm and Smith, so hopefully frees up a bit of money for more signings elsewhere.

Looking At our recruitment  of pickersgill and luke along side new contracts for craig josh and gareth  looks like that's our preferred back line so the question is with the option of us offering any SL team a successful DR arrangement to cover the shortfall have we even offered Kris W and going further back Tom M a contract?

Best of luck Nu . I have been to Os , and the country is fantastic and the weather is great. I can understand him leaving  the UK with the weather likely to turn cold soon. He will be missed but hopefully the players we have & have signed will step up to the plate.

If Leeds and Fev link up again then Centre cover is probably the least of your concern.

Our strongest 17 will probably exclude...

Jack Broadbent, 20 year old England knights centre

Corey Hall, done very well at York last year as a 18 year old

Levi Edwards, described as a generational talent, played well for Batley as a 17 year old last season

These lads have already played well at championship and superleague level, Leeds will want them playing championship at least next season, not reserves.

Indeed, that had occurred to me as well. On the other hand the area where we currently look lightest is our middles/props, and that's probably an area where Leeds might not have too much to spare looking at your squad at the moment.

And that may well cause a problem as it could be difficult to get a game with Fev unless its cover for injury or other types of absence?

Thats a fair summary, Muizz Mustapha would be the one that springs to mind as a Middle/Prop that could well spend plenty of time with Fev if we DR again.

I was very impressed with Mustapha in the games i saw him play for KR last season. He was always looking for work and took some tackling. If he keeps improving he has a bright future in the game.

He's a very good young player, think most KR fans would agree he was excellent for them in there 2 playoff games against Warrington and Catalan.

He'd be in our 17 before the likes of Donaldson and Thompson for me, but dont think our management will see it that way.

But typical Rugby League, if and when will they announce DR.????

If there's no DR SL still won't use reserves be a boat load of lads offered to the championship on those silly two week loans  loans

Don't you think the loan system will revert to "normal" with a 4 week minimum?

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
