Oh the irony from a man who can't even get there for the first 10 minutes.

Thanks to advice from the Wigan locals!

Wigan 16:6 Salford at full time.

16 - 6. Final score. Cracking game by the sound of it.

Whoever was commentating deserves some kind of award then, because it was dull for the most part. Neither team played particularly well, the game was littered with unforced errors. Even the double sin binning wasn't an exciting incident - they literally got 10 minutes for grabbing each others shirts. Standard Wigan win in that it was a grind and pretty boring to watch.

Wigan ground out the win, Salford employed spoiling tactics to slow the PTB down throughout and it worked but they tired in the last 20 and Wigan started breaking them down. Field played the first 40 and didnt really do much, not surprising really. Hardaker replaced him at half time, slotted right back in and looked very fit and sharp. Official attendance was 9431 so crowds are on the up.

Okay match, more war of attrition. Wigan tried to dominate the pack but were held and some individual errors resulted in the scores against both sides. No real flow although Salford tried giving it a bit more wdth once behind. Too much inside ball from both sides to begin with.

Overall right result, but feel Salford will still be happy as lack of discipline may have made it closer. Plus the amount of players out they had was surprised it was as close

Given Wigan’s injury list/suspensions & Lams crazy selections added to the amount of games played a scruffy win is ok,we might even have a backline on the field next week & hopefully Lam will stop picking our most creative player out of position.

Frustrating for Wigan fans to see the opposition slow their team's play the balls, especially as Wigan are famous for not doing the same. It was particularly noticeable last night that all three Wigan players involved in the tackle - the two who actually made the tackle, and the third who then came in to drape himself across the other two for decorative effect - sprang away so quickly, it was like they'd been beamed away, Star Trek style.
