Reading elsewhere, their fans are complaining about a lack of big props. That should tell us how to approach this game, following NickD's favourite tactics - bash 'em up the middle!

Seriously, if Riley Dean is to make any real impact he needs a dominant pack in front of him - no slackers, no 10 minute players, just solid grafters who will keep coming back for more.

Widnes are the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde of the championship against FEV   in the semi Dr Jekyll turned  up and we had to dig deep and won 24-18 but in league game at widnes it was Mr Hyde  and without really trying we had a comfortable 32-10 win  similarly at Batley and York Dr Jekyll was winning at half time but Mr Hyde was comfortably beaten in the second half

I'm feeling strangely positive about this game. Think we might win this one. Usual stuff like high kicks to corner (Gabriel almost scored on Sunday), grubber kicks into in goal, maybe 2 forwards running together, even do the 2 forwards near the line and pass it to the 2nd forward.... hopefully Riley Dean will be able to spark some more creative play.

We seem to have a fair few players back in training and hopefully fewer getting "pinged" se Lee should have an actual selection to make on Sunday, rather than just seeing who is still standing. The weather looks fair, we had  much better second half performance last week, the prospect of Riley Dean playing the full 80 minutes, so can we be optimistic? Widnes have lost a few lately and, allegedly, the mood in their camp is low but they are still a decent side with plenty of power and speed.

We will need to be at our best but I don't see why we shouldn't win this one, just for a change.

From Whitehaven highlights Riley Dean set up two tries, so here's hoping after another week training with us, we might have more of a cutting edge near the line

You never know, he will have trained with the team and now knows all the attacking moves when near the oppositions line. We could be in for a win! :kolobok_yahoo:
