This is some statement by the club with the assistance of BISSA. 

For too many years players that have shone in the Batley colours have been enticed by bigger spending clubs in the division, but not this time! Thanks to the hardwork of BISSA and the kind contributions of the regular members and those who visit the BISSA stall on match days we have secured the services of four standout players for next season.

Sends out a number of messages; 1 we're no longer prepared to sit back and let clubs in our league who think they're better than us keep us down by taking our best. 2 shows our intent of making SL2 by staying strong. 3 having a side there and thereabouts shows that SL teams can trust us to give any loanees a proper game of rugby and any player considering a change of club will know he's coming to a progressive club.

Totally agree, and a Club where Contracts are honoured and agreements are kept.
