Adrian Lam to leave Wigan at end of season

Recommended Posts

  • Futtocks changed the title to Adrian Lam to leave Wigan at end of season

"“We are proud to have offered Adrian his first full-time Head Coaching job and we believe his experience at Wigan, including the difficult Covid and lockdown period, will lead on to even greater things for him in Rugby League.  "

Unusually modest from Wigan.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Well, we know it won't be Shaun but is it going to be Shaun or shomeone else?

(In my head that is absolutely hilarious because I wrote in Sean Connery's voice!)

"The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby.

"If someone doesn't value evidence, what evidence are you going to provide to prove that they should value it? If someone doesn't value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?" — Sam Harris

It is the kind of position that'll get applications from ambitious coaches of both hemispheres. Very interested to see who shews interest in the next few weeks.

Whoever it is he will need the tools to do the job, despite his faults Lam was never given those tools.

Well with Shaun Wane (presumably) as Director of Rugby (or whatever name you want to give it), you'd have to assume it will be a young coach.

I've seen a few Wigan fans on social media calling for O'Loughlin to be given the job! 😕

Didn't Andy Farrell apply when Wane left and Edwards got the job? I wonder if he'll be interested again.

Sure a few names from down under will get thrown around. Thinking of coaches with a link to UK (and there actually quite a few).. Stephen Kearney? Michael Monaghan? A return to SL coaching for David Furner maybe?

No chance of Andy Farrell wanting it with the money he earns with the Irish Union team.

I think it's a toss up between former coaches Shaun Wane and Michael Maguire

Surely Wigan fans want a change in the style of play from those coaches as well as a better coach?
