So they're players from Barrow? I hope it doesn't impact local fixtures. Also I wonder who will pay the players insurance/injury money/match money ( they won't be playing for free ) should any of them get injured?

Lots of questions for sure. I've never heard anything like it, especially in the 3rd tier of RL!

Can't believe we are playing for a top four finish tomorrow, sixth place would have been success this year.

Great gesture from the club to allow free admission as a thank you to the fans, not just for this year, but for the last five years of supporting our incredible board, players and coaching staff to keep rugby league alive in North Wales.

Some of us setting off early on the train to make a day of it, and if you are in the area you are more than welcome to come and join us. We're having a party, it's free entry, and you're all invited! 🥳

Don't want to sound like a dick here but should we be patting a team on the back for travelling with 15 to fulfill a fixture?

When was the last time they had 17 for any fixture?

Still, better than South Wales Ironmen who failed to fulfil their season of fixtures despite a guy involved in ' Participation ' being on the board.

Such a well governed sport...

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

Yes or awarded the game 24-0

The thought's just occurred to me - what happens if a team is hit by a Covid outbreak in the playoffs? I'm thinking here of the game as a whole, not just L1. Wonder if the RFL and SL have a contingency plan (well, actually I don't - if you follow me!)

I'd assume it would be rearranged as soon as possible

I hadn't really noticed to be honest. They do have some players who only seem to play home games

Why are people blaming Barrow for this?  It is WWR who are struggling to field a team and the main reason is not COVID but injuries and other commitments. They have dug deep and are probably going to play witn a limping patched up squad of 15 players who are out of their usual positions and have a couple of amateurs filling the bench. I believe Barrows cancelled fixture was mostly COVID related and had 16 players unavailable over 2 weeks due to positive tests and track and trace isolations. So not quite the same is it?

Barrow did cobble an out of position patched up injured 15 together in order to fulfill a fixture at Cougar Park and got a drumming but surely they should be commended for that effort.

Ralf Rimmer is not there just because he is from the area, he is there with other RFL people to present the Shield to the 2021 L 1 Champions if Barrow win today as expected. All theses conspiracy people are just letting themselves down and putting their club in a bad light. Good luck today Barrow and good luck for the Playoffs Workington, this season was never going to be clean cut and normal.

Commentator at the Barrow/WWR game, saying "and now time for the racism against spo... er, sport against racism". :kolobok_biggrin:
