Eddie Posted September 10, 2021 Share Posted September 10, 2021 How many other sports in Europe except football and Union would get anywhere near a 70k crowd for any club game? It’s easy to deride RL and our own fans do a good job of it, but let’s not forget it’s a minority sport with little media coverage played in an area of about 5m people, so to get the crowds we do is incredible. The GF demographic is different to your average SL game, fewer young families and less of Reg and Wilf who’ve been standing in the same spot at Fev for 60 years, and more groups of lads who want a good day out. But so what, even if they brought none it would be a great occasion and 90% of neutrals would be supporting them. It tends to be mid 60s to 70 which is near to full when I've been and always feels full anyway when I've been This was still the case even as CC has dropped last 3 years so not sure the CC trend is relevant or a portent.
