Just clarifying, are these airlie birds supposed to be dead??

They appear to be cartoon versions of the 'dead bod' graffiti in Hull which is a very famous piece of graffiti here and a symbol of the city. You can even get t-shirts and other merchandise with the dead bod on it.

I had no idea about all that, but just did a Google search and discovered the "Dead Bod" ( Hull vernacular for 'dead bird' 😀) is a famous piece of local history, and the corrugated iron it was daubed on 50 years ago is now a feature in a city art gallery!

Yep that's the one, the fishermen always said they felt they were home when they saw the Dead Bod. It's a bit like now I suppose, ask anyone from Hull and they will say they always feel like they're home when they drive under, or the train goes under, the Humber Bridge.

We always felt at home when we could see the Thorne Colliery headgear (Junction 6 M18) until it was blown up a few years back.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.
