Brad Day

Saying "it better not be true"...surely it all depends on the economics? Brad was terrific for us in 2019 and was showing signs of returning to form this year but he's now had two major season-ending injuries (and he also suffered a season-ending injury at Batley in 2017 albeit towards the backend of the year).

We don't get to know players' salaries but presumably there's plenty of doubt about when Brad will be fit to play again and if Newcastle or another club have made him a significant offer I'm not sure it would have been wise to get in a bidding war.

You can't help but feel sorry for him though, he's had such desperate luck.

Parata minnsy and Brad all off to newcy is the word on the street.

If all or even half the rumours that have been flying around about Newcastle's recruitment for next year are true, they're going to be one of the big spenders in the Championship next season.

Whether that sees massive improvement or York-style stagnation remains to be seen.

On a personal level for brad If It wasn’t for bad luck he wouldn’t have any luck at all but for the club I don't think his absence has compromised our season and if he does leave I'm sure the club will be taking steps to move forward

shame for you guys , best backrow forward you,ve got by a mile

Not really not played since start of june and look where we are

We are a very good side without him in the team and next year we will still be a very good side with or without him

Brad would be behind James Harrison and Halton ability and workrate wise.If players don't want to play for us fair enough let them move on you can't put a price on good team spirit. We have had that all season,it's good to see the club not throwing silly contract money at players at least the club will be living within it's means.Believe it or not Barcelona spent 120% of their total income just on players contracts that's why Messi had to go.CRAZY

Not when he's sat in the stand he isn't.

As said previously he was really good in his first season but when he returned this season after the knee injury he was pretty anonymous and never got going until this last serious injury.

When Harrison and Halton  leave, JD, Moores Bussey Ferres and now even Field can't really be classed as inferior as back rowers so don't feel too bad for us!
