The TO-Fax was an odd one as you say. It was going a point a minute for the first half an hour. However, Fax have had some pretty good comeback wins this year and shouldn't be underestimated. Fev should be far too strong but a wet, scrappy match can get the nerves going if they aren't focussed.

With the weather forecast i have backed FAX with 26 points start at even money.Had problems getting a decent amount on but it will add a bit of interest to the game.

Enlighten us about the moaning please.

He’s maybe referring to social media where the mere mention of Toulouse sparks a mass moanathon from Fev fans

Hmm. I don't think that's entirely fair for all Fev fans. Sure there are some anti-expansionists like most traditional clubs have. Then there are a few who are uncomfortable with the number of games they have played this year.

I wouldn't be part of either of those groups, but I don't think it's unreasonable to object to the view that seems to be put across a lot that it "needs" to be Toulouse who are promoted "for the good of the game".

For instance, journo John Davidson in the last hour: "Toulouse in Super League. This is what is needed."

It's sport, man. How about the team that wins the Final gets into SL? And yes, if it's Toulouse, good luck to them, if they win the final I really hope they do well in SL. It's sport, let's decide things on the field.

There's no contradiction in believing that Toulouse in Super League would be better for the development of rugby league than any of the other contenders but also wishing Featherstone or Halifax luck if they go up.

That's certainly my position.

Yes if Featherstone win their next 2 games on the back of 20 wins from 21 then they are deserved Champions and worthy of replacing Leigh. Halifax will be enjoying the idea of a low scoring tussle today.

Superb finish
