Embarrassing for the state of the game that lads that are not yet good enough for SL have to be loaned to Championship teams because there is no meaningful comp for them to play in.

So why duel reg then?

Presumably for the same reason that Fev, Leigh etc. have done - to get access to some better players.

Are there any current Championship clubs that haven't received players through a dual-registration deal at some point? I can't think of any.

You'd think if Barrow can keep their strongest 17 fairly fit they should be looking towards play offs rather than relegation.

There's a lot of super league/top end championship experience in Jarrud Sammut, Josh Wood, Adam Walne, Jordan Walne, Gary Wheeler, Ryan Shaw, Hakim Miloudi, Sam Brooks, Danny Langtree. Mix that with decent local players it looks a strong squad.

Think injuries will depend on where they finish. The squad stays fully fit I'd give them a chance of play offs, if the squad gets decimated with injuries they could be in the relegation mix.

100% Luke Cresswell will be up there with the best fullbacks in the League then add the flying pace of wingers Shane Toal & Tee Ritson

The Pack they have the experienced Forster & Stack ontop of the talent above already named & young local talents  Charlie Emslie & Tom Hopkins

The squad depth is very good also with Dec Hulme, Danny Morrow, Brad Crellin, Nathan Mossop, Jake Carter & Johnston

Don't forget the experienced Jaimie Dallimore unless he's moved on?????

These lads stay fit & get going early they could be tough to beat

Dallimore has stepped down. Not officially ‘retired’ but has personal circumstances that mean he won’t be able to commit to his contract. Very honourable of him and still working with the club.
Would love to see the Cumbrian sides go well.

Good luck keeping Wheeler & Sammut fit.

From what has been declared, expect 3/4 more and the Saints DR

Have gone for Roberts to break through this season, Leigh lad, young and built like a brick outhouse - may not start season but will finish it. Think we will have Perceival and Walmesley on DR for the first games

You have half a team of ex-Widnes players in that squad...

Think you're right about Luis Roberts - looked very good for Swinton last year and I would expect him to be around the top of the try-scorers charts for the season if he gets to play enough games.

Did Leigh get a parachute payment? (Hope they did BTW)

And then a World Cup for the lad. Can’t wait - he’s gonna be class!

Most recent accounts (November 2020) show a share capital of £90.

Nothing filed to show an increase since then.

They owe a quarter of a million to AB Sundecks, but a pretty healthy looking set of accounts overall.

When was the last time a RL club had a share offering 🙂 ?

More than embarrassing Dav it should be allowed, if teams cannot live by their own means in striving for promotion the points they earn from the games they play should not count.

SW is going to let us know. Obviously it would have had to have been made public so there must be something online somewhere for it. Great work pulling in 7m from it though.

Happens pretty regularly.  But they're private placings.  A public share issue carries a lot of legal obligations which few clubs are able to comply with.

Looking forward to seeing the confirmation at Companies House.
