It was announced at the presentation night . That Conner as signed a two year deal to stay at Workington Town . . It was also stated that tonight wasn't the right time to announce players coming in .or leaving  as this was all about  the players that had got us promotion. . But keep looking on social media over the next week and leading up to Christmas  because exciting times are ahead .

Excellent and fully agree. Let's get last season boxed off and alow the lads to celebrate what was a great season.

Who were the award winners? Or is it a secret?

Connor Fitz signs for Town 2 years 😂

Stop spreading rumours, even though it’s on town Twitter page it can’t be right, 100% gauranteed he was a haven player next year. 😂😂

Seriously though that’s brilliant news, a top forward who will easily hold his own in the championship. UTT

Sad to hear Les is stepping down as chairman, he's done a fantastic job in his time as chairman steering the club through one of the most toughest periods of its long history , he can be proud of what he's achieve,  a Townie through and through ,cheers marra UTT

Gutted. Great, genuine bloke first and foremost and also done a superb job along with the rest to steer the club through its toughest period to date. Thank you

Fantastic that Connor has signed on for the next 2 years and there were a lot more than just Haven chasing his signature. One player I have noticed who is available and would slot right in is Matty Gee and hope Chris can persuade Joe Brown and Rhys Clarke to extend their stays with us.Intersting to also see Elliot Hall has moved on from Batley.

Halifax are building what looks to be a very competitive squad, but that's the advantages of being in the M62 corridor I suppose, it gives them an advantage straight away to pick up discarded Super League players.

And there boss is minted
