overtheborder
Great career, great player to watch IMO. Hope he enjoys retirement and looks back on his time as a player with fond memories.
Mr Frisky
As good as any player in SL in his prime - very good player. Hope he can stay in the game somehow.
welshmagpie
A Scotland legend and a fantastic servant to every club he’s served. An excellent career
The British Lion
Danny Brough - a maverick, great play maker. Exciting to watch, and a nightmare to have playing against your team. Danny, another player alongside Lee Briers who I wish I'd seen given the opportunity in test match Rugby for Great Britain. Hope he enjoys his retirement and someone somewhere will find him a role to invest back into RL and 'creative' half backs.
DEANO
saw him play against York this season. Was the difference between 2 decent sides. Great player sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward
northamptoncougar
He was a gobby so and so but I really liked him - until he joined Bradford
Dallas Mead
Excellent player, one of the most talented British halfbacks of the last 20 years for sure. Enjoy retirement mate, sadly I’m sure my sport hasn’t paid you enough to actually retire as such.
Wigan Riversider
Fine player. Can't believe it's 17 long years since he played against Chorley Lynx for York in the last ever RL game at Victory Park.
Wellsy4HullFC
A player who deserved to have achieved so much more. Loved watching him break into the Hull team in 2005. Gutted when he left and was always hoping he'd return. Should have been in the England squad in the early 10s for sure. Happy retirement, Danny. Kirmonds pouch
A Dewsbury lad, Trinity Academy product who was very naughty, a few seasons in the lower divisions, broke out in a big way at Hull and the rest us history. People who defend our slavish dependence on mostly second rate NRL players should take note. They say the talent isn’t available in the U.K. well it is. You just need to look and be patient, give players the hope of a second chance and they will take it. Isn’t that fundamentally what many of the overseas players in SL are doing! Danny was better than most and even today may have got a second shot but most never will and it’s where we are so so wrong. Many an NRL star has had a rocky start only to make it big a few years and clubs down the like. That’s the lesson we need to learn.
Vambo
Great player. Always looked forward to seeing him play.
Puk
Great player and remember him at York when he was just starting out you could tell then he was going to go on to greater things, was the difference between us and the Bulls this season just ran the game and i think it was one of his first games back after injury. Wakefield Ram
Remember him playing for Dewsbury Rams 2nd team when he'd have been 18 or 19. He was a quality player even then. Said on the TV he'd scored 3985 points and is 4th or 5th highest points scorer of all time. Remarkable player who didn't get all the rewards his talent deserved. Tabby
Not a big loss for Bradford. His body told him the time. Excellent player and hope he goes on to improve others in the game. Well played Danny..

Jinking Jimmy
One of the most annoying players of recent times but one who you wished had played for your team. Good luck to him.
