No change is certainly better than a bad change, like 2 x10s, for changes sake.

As a sport we need to know where we stand for at least 4 or 5 years in the future.

It's just a shame that this is even still on the table. There isn't anything fundamentally wrong with the competition structure.

It’s fundamentally wrong to keep having clubs in a yo-yo effect.

This is very overstated...   I think there's only Leigh who have got relegated immediately after getting into SL, all other clubs have lasted longer

O give up. Clubs no what the structure is and it's down to them to make the difference and plan and not become one. Licensing hasn't worked neither has changing the structure countless times.

Like poor jokes? Thejoketeller@mullymessiah

For Leigh maybe, for Widnes, Castleford, Wakefield, Hull FC, Hull KR it isn't

Widnes finished bottom of SL and still survived. The drawbridge hasn’t been down that long. Kept up enough for Catalans to survive. P&R needs to be on a level playing field. The structure doesn’t support that other than pulling the bridge up when the income to the product increases.

What about the others?

I have no interest in the history of the sport since SL began. A restructure is required to bring the game in line with existing clubs. A simple 1 up 1 down isn’t adequate anymore.

You do realise if we did the same on here you would probably be relegated...🤣

A proper league structure with promotion/relegation works for 99% of sports. If your good enough you go up and down if not. The location of clubs  or how many likes you have on social media shouldn’t come into it. Put some stability in the structure and let the lower league clubs have something to aim for instead of them worrying they will be cut adrift.

Its absolutely the other way around.

Please explain ?

Most sports, in the UK and in the rest of the world, run with a single elite division.

Very few have the luxury of being able to afford promotion and relegation. Often people are blinded to this because of the predominance of football.

Afford ? And why shouldn’t RL try and follow the example of Football the planets most successfully sport?
