Hollie Dodd signing for York knights is huge, probably the most talented young player in the League

Didn`t require great prescience to foresee this one. Surprising it took so long. Just about completes the exodus from Cas.

Hollie has mentioned she`ll be receiving expenses to travel up from Loughborough.

Agree and the 2nd tier of the Women’s SL is going the same way with Warrington & Fev Rovers making good signings and looking much stronger than their rivals.

Lots of good signings happening at Barrow Raiders under Grand Final winning coach Amanda Wilkinson. Packed with Cumbrian talent. Over 50 girls competing for a Super League place with a reserves side about to be formed and the possibility to dual reg between each other as long as COVID doesn't separate the Elite and community game

Reading the profiles of the signings on Barrow`s website, most seem to be returning locals. Same as the coach.

Three of them are detailed as having played Union for Waterloo. There was a feature on North West Tonight a few years ago about a female player who travelled down from Cumbria to play for Waterloo. Can`t remember the name, but must have been one of these three.

One would hope this signals an irreversible shift to League being the default option for women and girls in the area.

If a reserve team is established, where and against whom will they play?

Barrow Raiders Ladies Reserves will be entering a league below the Championship. They need to get the application in before 14th January but the RFL have given the green light to match the team with a league of their ability.
