Clubhouse and other facilities will require further approvals - reason being to expedite the process to get the ground playable for Truro FC next football season in August. Work is already well underway for it and this was a rubber stamp of the Council agreeing it. Great news for Cornwall RLFC to play in a brand new facility. Thanks. It's Truro FC that are stumping up some of the money with other partners. Hence no real mention of the RL side. It's been a big topic in sporting contexts down here for a long time and only a few weeks ago Cornwall RL had zero to do with it. Truro FC were bought buy the Perez conglomerate a few weeks back and as such, Cornwall RL will play at the new ground. Not sure what the arrangements will be legally. Truro City: Canadian consortium takes over club from Kernow Sport - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67546796 The initial stadium project was to be a home for FC and RU. But the new ownership structures and acquisitions mean RU will stay at Penzance in an small dilapidated ground under the old FC ownership. RL will be at the new facilities in a much better location when thinking about the local population numbers and where the money/corporate money is.
