Good news! (for some)

Lot's of people playing Rugby League in Wigan and all wearing Cherry and White.  Is this the first signs of the world getting back to normal!

This is pretty obviously good news, great to see.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Nah, Just Browny just said something positive about Wigan. It is indeed still strange, strange times we live in.

As the article alludes to, Wigan Touch Warriors have been around for yonks and are a top side in the England Touch system, up there with the very best London-based Aussie-dominated teams.

Will be interesting to see what this could mean for RL's involvement with touch going forward.

This probably explains the no sponsor shirts. I’m guessing each team will have their own main sponsor?

Possible, although it may also be due to longstanding issues with Iqoniq around money. Almost resolved I believe but came too late for shirt printing as they are ordered well in advance. Understand Iqoniq will be added to shirts at some point, presumably when their check has landed and cleared. Having said that the Academy do normally have their own sponsor.

Great news story but do they really need to look so unhappy about it? I can never understand the endless fascination with making Rugby players look so serious in PR merchandising shots when you are trying to sell things. It's not just surly adolescents who buy the stuff.

Yes this is similar to what I heard, albeit second hand, that they were struggling to pin down a lead sponsor so had to go to production before they knew who was going to be on the front.
