Said he's getting 8 back on Tuesday. So i suspect they were covid related. Couldn't have asked for better today really. Good to see the likes of Thomsen back as well. Not sure he got officially announced as getting a new contract?
Callum Linford 98
The lads played exceptionally against a far more experienced side. I'd be slightly concerned as a Barrow fan at the moment. Plenty of positives for Town. Hutchings and Tomposh outstanding. Hope the half time summary wasn't to bad

Probably shows how good of a coach Chris and his backroom team team are! It was never going to be a thumping given the sides both teams had out, both had several first choice 17 players missing, Barrow had 7 of their first 17 out Workington had some out too and both fielded several trialsts, a good hit out and good game time for both sides given the weather and other circumstances. Players to come in, Sammut, Hulme, Stack, Ritson, A Walne, J Walne, Morrow, Mossop, Wheeler, to name a few. It was a hit out with out of position players and trialist. Both teams had a lot of positives and trialsts got their taste of some higher level rugby.

Hulme was in the ground today walked past in one of the boxes.. Sammut injured or covid? IanMac
Just out of interest, have we ever gone into a game without any recognised props before? Sounds as though John Hutchings, even though he’s an outside back, did well. Hopefully have Conor, Jake and Rhys back next week.

pmac
No nit picking or points scoring ,it was a good hit out for both teams a good crowd so both clubs happy with that ,as a town fan fairly happy a encouraged to see how fit and enthusiastic town were , a younger and less experienced than barrow and towns D was intense through the game ,any negatives was our discipline at times as this cost us any yardage advantages we made into barrows 20 , a concern was they made yardage down our both flanks ,hopefully CT will sort this in the coming weeks and months. Tomposh was MOM for me, his speed into the contact and footwork were superb and Hutchings did a good job propping too. Walker looks the tricky halfback we've needed, hopefully he'll be first choice. They just got round us a couple of times ..probably while Caine was propping and Pez was off as those two normally shut down the wide attacks. Hulme out of isolation so at the game, RFL protocol is return to playing 10 days after a negative test. No Sammut is not injured, its COVID. I see you run a RL news/info Facebook page? If this is the standard of your research and info then it's worth avoiding, it's all basic info that is out here.

homeandawayer
He's got a selection headache this week, he could have 23ish to choose from. All the lads except the trialists from last Sunday deserve to keep their spots.
