Bring on the day that our World Cup makes a $50 million profit and we can start to spend some serious coin in these countries. As I said on the other thread Africa should be the Pacific Islands of European Rugby League.
RayCee
The potential is huge. The thing is basic equipment and getting them playing young enough to have a career opportunity in the game. Henson Park Old Firm
It's great news they are tapping into Africa, but the point is that they don't have a home ground and no money.

langpark
Great work Salford! The article states there are 1800 active players in Ghana. Could that be true?? That's approx. 90 teams! More than Wales, Scotland and Ireland combined!

That's approx. 90 teams! More than Wales, Scotland and Ireland combined! The article said 1,800 men and women over ten clubs. That would be 180 per club. Maybe that shows those wanting to play and may do so on occasion but lack of kit may mean some of that is latent interest.
