What is it with advertising companies shooting ads with the sound track of a decades old song slowed down to funeral time??

Gets right on my blue & coal.

Hate that myself.

and switched to minor key, if it wasn't already in it.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

There seems to be more ads lasting longer nowadays. The ad with Philip Schofield promoting that drinks company is so bloody annoying. The door should be slammed in his face a bit harder, and any empty bottles should be aimed towards him as he’s quickly leaving your front garden.

The slow, minor-key, acoustic cover with wispy ickle-girl vocals must be at least 20 years old.

I believe this year's John Lewis ad will be a similar treatment of You suffer by Napalm Death.

My current favourite ad music is the ad for Avanti West Coast Trains. It's a really good track. I thought it was South African, but I googled it and it is Algerian, apparently.  I also like the shots of the tortoise skating round a city and then the countryside.

Bloody clever, these tortoises!

At least it will be thankfully brief in that case.

Saw Napalm Death live in Eindhoven a few years back.

They might even have played it without me noticing.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea... but this is a classic music based ad for me.
