Oldham v Lock Lane

There has been some good publicity on twitter.

Being on our league app is a plus. Don't know whether it will be behind a paywall.

Downside for meis a digital programme for £3.00. If people want a physical programme then there should be a facility to buy them at the match.

There’s some interesting comments in this week’s League Express from Lock Lane regarding the the 6 o’clock kick off time. They’re not happy about the start time and say they proposed four other times, claiming they’re struggling with players getting time off work and switching shifts.

Oldham players also work.

Sunday evening is likely to affect fewer players availability than any other time

That’s what I thought, but apparently not.. Let’s hope the lads get out there and do the business regardless.

IF we do defeat the very good Lock Lane outfit there is in the offering a slight possibility of a hybrid version of the law cup as Rochdale Mayfield beat West Hull this aft 18-16.

What a treat that would be especially if it was at Castleton Sport centre where i`ve been lurking for many years now!

Filthy conditions.  Any in attendance deserve a medal.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Good reaction with a quick try.  (Maybe a hint of forward...)

Any conversions will be fantastic.

First off all credit to Lock Lane totally deserved the win great attitude and playing for each other , as for us our attitude seems dreadful never looked interested in the simple hard work that's required in a game like this , no structure in attack all game and we don't look anything like fit which is inexcusable , the drop from brierley over the line  sums up all his time with us so far as in useless , we need to sort ourselves out fast cos that tonight won't get past mid table league 1

Well, we saw some last season, but this takes the biscuit, absolutely nothing from the halves, constantly running up the middle, only the names have been changed.

Not the night for throwing it around.  Though still poor.

That was an embarrassment. Right side defence, as last week, abysmal. Knock ons galore. Brierley failes to ground the ball over the try line- the nearest person from Castleford  being on the crowd. Spencer needs to up his game. Hoping for the most mistakes of the season already. One dimensional. No ideas. Out thought. Out enthused. Out coached. No link between forwards and backs.  Worst and most inept display since, well, since last season. Might have been better with the floodlights completely off- though we’d probably have still lost. Embarrassing.
