Said he was actually very close to a return last season, but a specialist has said he can no longer play. Gutted for him, you can see how emotional he is in the video. A fit and firing Elliott would hold his own against anyone in this league , and indeed has stood up and got the best of some highly regarded centres . The best outside back we’ve had for some time … teak tough , a strike weapon in attack and rock solid in defence . When he hit you felt it ( in err both ways ! ) . All the best Elliott , absolute quality and will always be very very highly regarded . An absolute joy to watch in his pomp and rightly a fans favourite. Hope he gets to walk out on the pitch one last time this weekend so we cane sing his song for him again.
