Well, well, well, that was a high scoring round. Comparing that with the scores in R1 is like comparing chalk with cheese!

Points we’re just a little harder to find than in the last round. Still some reasonable results.

It is very close at the top. It’s a very competitive league this season. There’s plenty of good scores and competition for places throughout the table.

That round was much less predictable than the previous round. Some of last week’s high scoring players found points harder to find this week. Many of us probably put out virtually the same team as last week and came home with a few hundred less points than in R7!

Picking the right captain is as vital as always.

Bad week not helped by transferring Wighton out for Sam Walker. As the Roosters are poor Sam has already been traded out. Going completely left field this week have brought in Scott Drinkwater and made him captain He has posted two tons in a row and as they say it comes in threes 

Haas doing his I want to keep fit for Origin.

Nice little two game buffer up there at the top for James.

Here’s the fixtures as they played out in the round:

DatGod was really unlucky to lose with tha score. Still look at James’ magnificent 1421 score. Then again look at the battle between Rookies and Fat Chickens!

Points were somewhat tougher to gather in that round than in recent weeks.

Well anyway let’s have a look at the details.

Head2Head After Round 10 - Magic Round

James’ 9 wins 0 losses sees him topping our H2H league table on his own with a two game buffer. Well done again James.

Here’s how the individual H2H’s played out:

 A few close calls there. Loo at that result between F Chickens and Hull WS! Just two measly points separating Marge and Oliver.

Well it is pretty close at the top with James being followed closely by a chasing pack!

There’s plenty of jostling for position right up and down the league table. What a great competition it is turning out to be this season.

Some of the usual high scoring players had a bit of a lean week. Our scores generally reflected that. You agree?

It was a pretty tough round for most of us, so we hold our nerve do we?

Round 12 H2H matches:

Not the toughest or easiest round there, but I suspect we would all have liked a couple of hundred extra points?

As you know, hopefully, R13 will be affected not just by 4 byes but also the lack of players selected for Origin 1 on 8th June.

What do we do then? Answers please!

Hold our nerve and accept a much, much lower score or transfer to the max?

What a disaster of a week that was  and no full backs or hookers for this coming round. Also, i have kept certain injured players in the hope they return. If they are not on the team lists tomorrow they are gone.

Injured or not used players are the changes I may make if TLTues has suitable alternatives.

By the way, you can if you want compare your overall rank in the context of the overall number of people worldwide taking part - that’s 140,416

So for example James and his especially well named Flat Capper Select is currently 262nd out of 140,416.

Too many trades used now means none left when it comes to squeaky bum time at the pointy end of the season. I reckon you have to be prepared to lose one of the two bye rounds and hope your opponent is in an even worse position than you are for trades.
