He is correct, but would his chairman and the others in the league agree with him.

Exactly this

There's no such thing as "Super League" beyond the clubs who make up the organisation.

He should be addressing this to his own club chairman

Based on what?

Being able to market a proper bank holiday fixture to one set of home fans and one set of away fans. On an actually B/H as opposed to a Thursday night.

We forget that Leeds fans having to pay for the Hudds game on Thursday probably impacted on how many people could afford to go to the Monday away fixture a few days later. Probably same for Huddersfield fans, giving Thursday night a miss to attend the home game on Monday.

Easter weekend is no longer lucrative as a doubled up weekend any more. RL is rife with pile the fixtures high and go to the same well again and again.

That is even before you get started on the quality of games and players missing for the second games.

Indeed , but Premier wanted it , he who pays the Piper 🙄

They don't though, when you take out what Premier paid for Challenge Cup games (RFL's cash) how much per club they are actually getting. My guess is less than 10k per club. Whitehaven probably lost 1.5x that in Easter ticket sales alone.

What’s the likely limit for each club?

Let's generously say maybe 5k neutrals or fans of the women's finalists. Think capacity now is 36k so each club would have up to about 8k available. But in reality they can all probably have as many tickets as they ask for.

Well Huddersfield won’t be needing 8k for a start.

Hopefully any remaining unsold tickets will be shared out between KR, wigan and saints so we get a full house.

If you call mid table a success they have

Kr are getting great crowds and have reached the semi-finals of the challenge cup so far this season on top of getting their act together off the pitch regarding their home ground.

So yes they(KR) have been a success story this season.

They’re doing ok on the pitch and excellently off it. That is a success, compared to some clubs such as for example Leeds who are doing hideously on and off the field.

Hence my frown , I was being facetious , but it's what the clubs agreed , isn't it ?

My opinion is and always has been that if the money isn't there , neither are the camera's , only caveat with that is the lower tier clubs should have been producing a highlights/preview show over a decade ago , who knows where that could have led to by now ?

To be honest, our away following at Leeds was probably the best we've had anyhwere for a good few years, if anything there were a hell of a lot more than there would usually be, even on a Friday night

It’s better than relegation fodder, so for us this is continued progress. Meanwhile, er, moving in the other direction…

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?
