Good to see Hull are getting their injury crisis in early this season

Really?

Well poor conditions in Wakey and rain expected all afternoon. Early season form can be hard to predict. I think the team that plays a tight game, kicks well and is prepared to grind out an ugly win will get the spoils.

Waiting for the final teams to be announced before I could call this one as I see it very close.

Seems to happen earlier and earlier each year, like Spring...

Sorry, minor chip on my shoulder about how clubs injuries are reported in context of a seasons performance.

I don’t think Hull FC are making excuses early, the forwards have been dropping like flies. Having said that it’s a far stronger squad than I expected albeit in the backs.

Imo, in Macintosh, you've signed an England winger.

If only we could have signed an England centre from somewhere…oh…wait a minute!

Good crowd here especially as its still heavy rain. Big following from Hull.

It's not really trolling is it; he just said who he thought would win. It's a perfectly valid opinion to believe that Hull might win easily.

And if they don't you can come back and call him a person who I hold in very low esteem.

He did that for Cas v Salford game. Then, when he was wrong, he went back and edited his forecast so that he got it right.

Sounds like a pretty dire game. Wakefield go the length of the field after an error in attack from Hull. 6-6.

Not much of an error though until Johnstone picked up the loose ball.

Was it worth a red? The commentators seemed quite surprised when the card came out.

Griffiths has let a lot go.

Well, the stall is set out. Lots of bans, binnings and early baths and we’ve only just got to the end of round one. If the players and coaches haven’t worked out by now that head contact is going to reduce your team size, then there’s no sympathy for round two. Have we ever had so many reds and yellows during the first round? In the SL era at least?
