Quite honestly I can't see the pitch passing a fitness test after continued rain and 2 storms. I don't really want to see another game where conditions can dictate a result.

Are you for real? It’s rugby league not football 😂

Yes conditions have been far worse but with summer rugby (ha ha) it is expected that the pitches would be better. Who looks after the pitch since Jim retired?

We have a exciting squad of players it is a shame seeing them hardly being able to stand up never mind run in the conditions.

It also seemed to affect the refs vision around the try line 😄

It must be a first at the mount eh… shame really but health and safety must come first especially if an injury occurs especially with the opponents

To be honest I think it’s a sensible decision. I think there’ll be many games cancelled this weekend due to the weather.

The attendance at the York game was 971 for anyone who wants to know. I was asked once shortly after the match by one journalist and i was doing other things and also at the time didn’t know. I was never asked again and presumably neither was anyone else at the Club.

Anyway people now know. It was disappointing as we expected many more than that but the weather played a big part in reducing the gate.

Blinking heck we have stood in worse conditions, but we will see.

Reminiscing about the good old days at the Somme, Roger? Remind me again was it you or BSJ in goal for the Xmas day game against the Huns?

No but my grandad would have he was there. That footie match against the Hun was Christmas Day 1914. Like the pun though.

971 was a very poor crowd to say you were unbeaten, understand York brought about 250/ 270.

with a population of 200,000, and clement weather, you should be bringing more than 270....
