I expect us to have a depleted team available given the injuries that we suffered on Monday. This will provide an opportunity for a couple of fringe players together with Knowles and, maybe, Ferguson.

Derwent Park has often been an unhappy hunting ground for us and I have seen some defeats there over the years. It would take an optimist to predict anything else this time, but you never know, although I won't be there to witness it. I hope that those hardy fans that do attend have an enjoyable trip and a victorious outcome.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Ferguson still missing - decent strength squad otherwise.

Indeed.  Maybe Aaron Hall will get a run out 🤣🤣

would like to see Ollie Greensmith get a game too.

Sykes due a rest?

Clubs these days seem less interested in the Challenge Cup than the time before SL, although I doubt any would admit any such thing.
It’s a long way to travel tomorrow and return without a cup tie success, but I think that that will be the case, especially as I understand Ben Thaler is our referee. Defeat will allow us to concentrate on saving our souls in the league fixtures!

Why is that?

Paranoia - it's a RL thing, even shared by many Dogs fans.

Indeed.  This statement seems to sum up the last few years …
“The Rams pressed hard after the try but were unable to get over the line again”

As does this

so the message was to complete sets and defend well”

😩😩

From the YouTube highlights, which last only 1’-56” it’s clear to see our defensive set was a shambles and tackling inept.
If Greenwood sent out messages to complete sets and defend well, why didn’t our experienced players like Annakin and Knowles rally teammates into carrying out those messages?

Listening to BBC  Radio Cumbria’s fine commentary, it sounded like there was only Beharrell* conjuring any form of attack and he probably had nobody in support.

* Scored his 1,000th point yesterday

Legs, Dews, legs!
