Yep. Great signing for Salford. One of those players you are glad he is playing for you rather than against you.

In all seriousness though the guy is a real handful. I know that he was and still is a bit of a project, but I don't know why Leeds let him go really. Their pack is decent but lacks that one massive unit . On paper he's a great fit for them.

Leeds were interested in keeping him but Salford offered him more money and a longer contract I believe, that’s the nature of the salary cap

Maybe Leeds are regretting throwing such big money at someone like Bentley who's one of the smallest forwards in SL and sacrificing bigger guys like Vuniyayawa.

The whole Leeds forward pack is struggling to make metres up the middle, particuraly the front row, and its not something Bentley is good at doing, so he's in no position to help out the struggling front row. These days teams need at least 5 good props in their squad, Leeds have 1 (maybe 2 if Prior is having a decent game). Beyond that they're struggling so not having the option of another good metre making forward in the squad is hurting them.

To be fair, I thought he looked a bit ordinary at Leeds, but he was excellent for Salford at the weekend. Hope that's the level he can perform at all season.

The King is what every rugby team needs. A honest, hard working selfless big unit who will do the heavy lifting.

Surprised Leeds didn't match Salford's offer, which I believe was as equally as modest as the man himself.

Deeply grateful he has come over though.

That's the nature of battling teams, who choose not to pay their rent, for players signatures.

yep I would agree except to say that Tom Holroyd is another prop but is out injured, plus they have Zane Tetevano.   So I think they have x4 including those two.  Prior's game time needs to be managed and with Holroyd injury it is a area of concern I would have thought for sure.

I was only reading on here earlier in the season that Leeds had a strong pack, although that may have been based on the first game when they where far better than the Warrington pack. As other games have played out one can see that Warrington's pack are relatively weak and so wasn't a good comparison. 

Leeds I don't think over last few years have ever had really big Prop like a Walmsley.  Having said that I have always thought they should. I guess they like to have the more agile forward pack but if so need to play differently.
