Eddie
It’s never nice to see someone lose their job, particularly in Rugby League, but I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner.

Scubby
The right decision. Honestly, Agar should wake up each morning and thank his lucky stars for the jobs he has had.

Spot on, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was someone else out there daft enough to give him another job.

daz39
Whoever takes over i reckon his 1st job will be to go and find Blake Ausitn and Aidan Sezer, i'm sure i read they'd signed for Leeds.
Dave T
Surely a club like Leeds should be signing up a real first rate proven coach? I know that isn't a guarantee, and I'm not sure who they should get, but Agar was never that.

Shane Flanagan is the man. He is an NRL winning coach (2016) who has a lot to prove after all the fall out of the Sharks scandal. He is now clear of any restrictions and will be hungry for a top job. He has proved he will come to England before, he did some consultancy for Salford 2-3 years ago. He is on the outside at the moment waiting for his next opportunity. He is the best currently available IMO.
Desert Skipper
Price. Suits Leeds’ pack and lack of halfback play. “There is perhaps no better a demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world.” Carl Sagan
Just Browny
Best of luck to him. He has always conducted himself in a gentleman-like manner and seems like a decent guy. Whenever you hear players speak about him, the impression is of a very good technical coach who understands the game and makes players better (and not in a matey way). A shame for anyone to lose their job. Clearly he does not have whatever X factor it is that makes a good coach into a great head coach - not sure if it is tactics, communication, motivation or what. This has been shown several times now, but clubs keep taking him on. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly. dealwithit
Was meant to be head of rugby or coaching director, stepped in when needed, led them to silverware, and now the time is right to step back into a development role — the original intention. I expect he will pop up at a national Union setup where they have load of coaches.

That is more specialised coaching a little like union. Listening to players and others Agar is said to be very technical and analytic in his understanding of the game. Listening to some of his press conferences I get the sense he is frustrated by the team not following the game plan and some of the poor skill execution and discipline - hence his recognition he ain't getting through to the players. Maybe they just didn't believe in the bloke and what he was trying to do? You have to want to run through brick walls for a coach and believe in their philosophy. We've all had a BS boss who talks a good game.

I think he will have been on good money. The players should be performing better than they have though. They have some terrific talent available but lack a couple of hard working, tackle anything forwards imo. Anyway, looking forward to the next thread on JJBs first media piece
