Harry Beverley Dewsbury,Workington and Fulham

"Some sad news this afternoon as 70/80s star of Dewsbury Rams , Fulham and Workington Town Harry Beverley has passed away at the age of 74 after a long illness.

 

Our thoughts are with all of Harry Friends and family at this sad time."

Played with Big H at Town.

Giant of man on and off the field.

RIP big fella .😪😪

Knees-up indeed.  Exactly as how how I remember him on the charge.  Think I last saw him when he was playing for Workington at Featherstone back in the early 80s.  R.I.P.

Sorry to hear this. I remember an ageing but still knee high-stepping Harry joining Carlisle’s reserve team playing at Penrith F.C. – Carlisle-Penrith. A wise head, and all that. Can’t remember how often he turned out for Carlisle’s 1st team.
