BLAIN

In my opinion the board should be on their knees to get Blain back. He is fast, backs up,crafty, tackles the biggest forwards.Him and Matty would provide some much needed spark at halfback. Problem is he went back to Amateur because he was training 3 times a week up here and didn't even get on the bench. Obviously our forwards have'nt got the size to punch holes so attack must come from the halves. PLay Jammer at 13, his kicks can be deadly when he gets them right and Blain wouldn't be far away from them.

Town forum: we’re screaming out for size to play in this division.
Also Town forum: re-sign Blain.

Screaming out for Size in the "forwards/props" to build a platform for the backs to work off. And to stop the opposition forwards doing the damage down our middle. Need someone else to help open defences up when In the oppositions 20 coz that's not happening  ATM. BM would do that IMO

Blain is a forward. He plays hooker.

But he doesn't play at 8 or 10 which is whete we need the size. But he was largely an Impact player that  took on defences with a bit of speed and zip and broke the line.

Looking across the board as different clubs bringing in loan players to help them out it seems that every loan is a two week loan, I'm not sure why but could this be down to the players home club insisting on this,  if so is this because they can recall them at short notice or if the player wants to return to his host club.

Improvements could be made in many areas but for me main disappointment is lack of quality outside backs - no real threat esp now with Teare out, though good break for Forbers try the other week.

Have always said there should be a minimum no of weeks for loan signings .At the moment Teams can bring in a few short term loanees and target certain games , Teams could then gain false points because of the flaw in the rules.Either season long loans or certainly one month plus loans should be the norm , or it invites the opportunity to have players yoyoing in and out whenever it suits .

You wouldn’t be where you are if you had a couple of decent props IMO. Doran is a quality player but without the forwards competing it’s always going to be hard. Few loans in and you never know.

Personally would like to bring elliot Hall or holroyd back they don't seem to be getting in Bradford or widnes lineups so may be a loan option and would definitely give us some strike in the back line

All day long
