hornets, cougars and us for wins. The other two games could be very interesting - dons & yeds both inconsistent this year so far, so could go  either way. If Hurricanes played like they did against us last week they could well turn hunslet over, hope they do 🙂

Ill go for a Midlands win too. They almost pipped us last week. Provided they play like they did against us I can see them beating Hunslet.

Hornets win

Doncaster v Oldham could be as close as a drop goal

Cougars win

North Wales Crusaders should go on to make it 6 wins in 6 games - need a big score to match Oldham to keep our points difference high - but WWR always seem to put in more effort for the Welsh Derby, but I can see past a Cru win.

Just want to say that whatever the final Oldham score on Sunday, we will be winning by 25 points at half time, we will then either win by one, lose by one or draw. 🤔 Or doncaster will have two players sent off  and have the best game ever. Just can't fathom what's happening with be the Yeds as at the moment.

Like I said above, you and dons not really settled down yet... I'm sure you'll get better as the season goes on (just hopefully not too much better 😉

Cornwall 0 Rochdale H 28 at half-time. I think it's fair to say that the visitors have had quite a lot of 50/50 refereeing decisions go their way.

Cornwall 0 Rochdale H 50 FT. Fair to say that Hornets took their foot off the gas a little in the second half, but a couple of really nice tries.

Cornwall put their 💔 hearts into it, but it was Hornets' experience and the class of Chase & co was too much.

Some tougher opponents on the horizon, but so far, a very good start to the season.

Some very good players at the end of their careers in the Hornets squad, not going to lose many games this year I reckon.

Notwithstanding the score, there were a few more little defensive improvements evident today by Cornwall.

In the end it was the fine difference of game control and RL nous which accounted for the end result, not heart.

We will get there...

96-0 Keighley FT. That must have been riveting.

Embarrassing! Keighley are very good & unbeaten so confident Skolars would lose but that is a disgraceful score line.

Well, that's what happens when a well resourced club nearby is allowed to pillage pretty much your whole team and your coach in pre season.

The greater Manchester clubs vetoed Manchester Rangers joining because they were fearful of the effect it would have on them, but that's pretty much what's happened in London: A new semi-pro club has been allowed to set up in the catchment area of an existing one and in an area with a thin player pool the result was inevitable.

The Broncos shouldn't have been allowed to do what they did, but the RFL couldn't stop them.

Putting it in context... of today’s Skolars team, only 3 players were regulars last season.

Broncos coincidently won today, but of the 10+ ex Skolars players they took - only 2 were in Broncos team today!

Its still a shocking result though - the new young Skolars squad need to start putting into practice the basics of simple game management snd damage limitation very soon before a ‘reasonably understanding fan base’ who expected a hard season with many losses become completely disillusioned with the embarrassing blow out score lines.

Thanks for the details. It's almost worst that Broncos stripped the Skolars and now aren't even using the players!

I'm pleased the Broncos won, but unless surviving in the Championship will be a springboard for going properly full time again, then the damage has been done.
