I'll go first then.

West Wales Raiders 8 v 88 Keighley Cougars (could be worse if Cougars really go for it)
Rochdale Hornets 0 v 1 Midlands Hurricanes (Stead DG)
Doncaster 22 v 26 North Wales Crusaders (should be a tasty game and can't see Crusaders getting beat)
Hunslet 48 v 28 Cornwall (Cornwall keep it tight but Hunslet fitness/experience too much)
Swinton Lions 36 v 16 London Skolars (Skolars improved after last weekend but not quite enough)

Anyone else miffed at the RFL for permitting 2 league 1 games to go head to head with the Challenge Cup semi finals on Saturday?

Well, yes, but this is the rfl we're talking about.......

True, I was at Cornwall's first home game, drinking cider eating a pasty when suddenly I felt my skin crawl and had an almost irresistible urge to vomit. Looked behind me and ten feet away was Rimmer grinning inanely. That would've been a waste of good food and alcohol. Resisted the temptation to talk to him, last time I did was at Friday Night Lights some years ago, wasn't pretty.

Well we all got the Raiders - Cougars margin wrong.

I'm wondering what happened there as the one thing we do know is that Keighley will rip you apart if they are in the mood and find your weaknesses. Maybe West Wales have learned how to defend?

Hurricanes had Rochdale rattled at half time but strength-in-depth was the deciding factor by the end I felt. We were better than when we played them in the Cup earlier this year but still some way from being on their level.

Wow, go Raiders!! Wonder what happened down there, that's half the margin most were expecting. Mind you, perhaps it was the lack of travelling which helped Raiders and the journey half-duffed cougars - long old trip to west Wales (even from us in the north).

Keighley Cougars dominated throughout, despite a number of first choice players having been rested, but still sustained injuries.

The referee ,from Cardiff, had a shocker. The try awarded to WWR appeared, to lots of pairs of eyes, to have been dropped to the floor by a virtually upright WWR player.

My worst nightmare was averted as the officials performance did not have Alan Kilshaw in the stadium.

Please do not force me to watch League 1 in 2023.

Even Stebonheath Park is beginning to look neglected.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

From what I could gather after speaking to players, is that Keighley also had a couple of dubious tries allowed.🤷

I think ultimately, WWR are trying to improve, Keighley came expecting to get 80+ on the scoreboard and found themselves frustrated that their opposition are actually giving it a go and not rolling over. 👍
