Discuss this weekend's international:

France v Wales KO 14:30 (UK Time)
at Albi

35C expected at kick off time.

Could be ... interesting?

I'm guessing conditions should lead to a pretty high scoring game.

I watched Papua New Guinea v Wales in the RLWC in 2017 in Port Moresby and it was about the same temperature!!

The Welsh boys were wilting within the first ten minutes - the heat was brutal!

Hope it's available on that Occitane TV channel.

Tested it yesterday and the live stream played fine for me on my laptop.

Thanks to those who mentioned this channel, as I hadn't been aware that it was on anything other than Bein Sport.

As to the match itself, it's hard to see anything other than a France win with a bit to spare.

I'll go 28-8

Hard to get a complete read but based on some footage put out from an opposed session between France and Toulouse I think Cesar Rouge may be partnering Arthur Mourgue in the halves for this one.

I'm assuming if this was a WC game where Fages was unavailable it would be Albert/Gigot taking that spot but it'd be interesting to see Rouge get a run.

We've just flown the opposite way, Lourdes to Dublin...long term commitment otherwise I would be off to Albi. 38⁰ to 18⁰ which has been bliss. Apparently the temperature in the south of France will drop a bit sometime on Sunday so the match shouldn't be that dangerous...but still hotter than hades

Da Costa, Mourgue and Rougé leading the field... Dont smack yourself on the head, you might pull this one away

not when you compare our squad with yours...unless France have a VERY off-day...

Anyone surprised a few championship players were overlooked?

It doesn't seem to be on Occitanie after all.

Disappointed, after getting my hopes up that I might get to watch this. Perhaps they will have deferred coverage at some point?

It's live on sportenfrance.com instead.

  • Thanks 2
