But I agree with the principle, I think the NorthWest of England could have staged one less game, we are certainly spoilt with the number of games at Wire, Saints, Leigh, Wigan, Bolton and Manchester (Trafford). 

Yes - that one is more for optics and the kind of push you can really only do when you have a Wales team playing in Wales (so S4C might pick it up and do a broadcast of Heno from there for example).

Losing Workington and Liverpool hasn't helped either.

I am worried about it though. I think your comparison to 2000 might not be too far wrong.
