6. Cameron Munster

7. Daly Cherry-Evans (c)

8. Lindsay Collins

17. Jaydn Su'A

QLD Maroons team news

Cameron Munster (shoulder) and Kalyn Ponga (concussion) are in doubt for the series decider, with both men ruled out of their respective Round 16 clashes.

Ben Hunt would likely shift in the halves if Munster is ruled out, while either AJ Brimson or Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow would fill in at fullback should Ponga be deemed unfit.

Felise Kaufusi is currently in the US for personal reasons and is unlikely to play in the decider, with Jai Arrow likely moving into the starting side and Francis Molo joining the bench.

Jeremiah Nanai had a tough night in Game II and could be in the firing line, with Dragons star Jaydn Su'A getting two games under his belt after returning from an ankle injury and a potential inclusion.

NSW Blues team news

Brad Fittler will have some tough decisions to make heading into the decider, with two big names set to become available for selection.

Latrell Mitchell (knee/hamstring) missed the first two games due to injury and COVID, but will make his NRL return for South Sydney in Round 16 and is likely to come into the side. Stephen Crichton is expected to make way for the Rabbitohs superstar.

Jack Wighton (COVID) was ruled out of Game II but has been cleared to return. However, the performance of Matt Burton and the dual-hooking tandem on Api Koroisau and Damien Cook may mean Wighton misses out.

Payne Haas (ankle) suffered an injury in Perth, but will line up for Brisbane in Round 16 and will be fit to play

Big news:

Queensland’s Origin III preparations have been thrown into turmoil with Cameron Munster and Murray Taulagi set to be ruled out due to Covid protocols.

The QRL confirmed Munster and Taulagi returned positive RAT Tests in Friday with the pair set to be ruled out of the Suncorp decider in a huge blow.

Munster and Taulagi are now awaiting the results of PCR swabs. If the swabs are positive, the duo will be ruled out of Wednesday’s decider.

Slater has been forced to thrust Tom Dearden into an Origin decider debut and recalled veteran winger Corey Oates after star five-eighth Cameron Munster and rookie Murray Taulagi were ruled out of Wednesday’s Suncorp Stadium blockbuster with Covid.

I’ve changed my mind

WEATHER FORECAST

It’s expected to be a bit of a cold day in Brisbane, although that shouldn’t be too much of a shock for either Queenslanders or New South Welshman at the moment. Temperatures are forecast to get to as low as nine degree Celsius, and only reach a maximum of 19. South-westerly winds of 20 to 30 km/h are forecast for the evening.

As stated earlier in the series this will be my last attendance at a SOO match after being at most of them including the first match played under current rules back in 1980.

That match was at Lang Park and QLD were captained by dear old Artie Beetson who led them to victory 20-10.

Always followed  the Maroons in these matches. Big task tonight but they gave big Arties team little chance!

There's ABC commentary on BBC Five Live Sports Extra. Amusingly, it was trailed as "coming up next - international Rugby League". :kolobok_biggrin:
