There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to order more than one ticket at a time. If there isn't a way or if the way is not obvious then it will have a severe impact on the draw.

Just keep clicking. If you click on buy 4 times you get 4 tickets

I was expecting the number in the order box to increase.  Just another sign of galloping brain rot I guess. It should have been obvious to me.  Thank you Bromley

I keep getting told websites  are oldhat and everything is social media so is this wrong? I have no idea.

The boxes in K2 Stand are sold out with season long sponsors apart from one big one near half way line. They were not built with lottery funding but with the help from sponsors and monies from finishing in Middle8’s in 2016 by the way.

The boxes have got signs on with names of explayers but due to lockdown maybe we have not publicised  them enough which we will do now. This is interesting for fans but regrettably doesn’t get more people to Club. So there is plenty of things that we are open to criticism for but moving forward how can we get it out there to get more people watching us is a massive problem which we have not solved and if we are to survive we need to. We as a Club are not alone by the way.

Would it be worth contacting the local College's and Universities marketing faculties, I'm thinking of Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield and (Dewsbury if it is still going?) maybe even the local 6th forms/year 12's or whatever they are known as now... to give them a practical assignment as part of the courses they run for students, to market the club and home games?

You could even make it a competition between them, offering a prize to the Uni/College that got the most ticket sales through the dedicated ticket web link assigned to each one.

For the students, it would provide real world practical experience that they could put on their CV, that might help them in securing their first job. After all, a qualification is nice, but pretty useless without relevant work experience with tangible results that they can quantify. It would also give the club an insight in to which types of marketing/promotion channels work, and which do not. These younger people that we need to aim at, are likely know how to market to themselves and likely to explore all avenues and provide statistical analysis of the returns to each type of marketing as part of the course. At least it would give the club an idea of where to focus marketing in the future.

Whilst I applaud the effort to increase gates with last Sunday's offer, may I ask, where was it marketed? I don't live locally, so I might be have missed where else the offer was advertised, was there an advertising board put up and the junction by Tesco's on Bradford Rd, for example? Were the local schools, gyms and amateur rugby clubs bombarded with posters to put up in their dressing rooms and bars etc. to make players/sports fans aware of the offer?

The only places I saw the offer advertised, was on this forum, and the Bulldog's twitter site, i.e. places where existing fans are likely to look, but very few neutrals/potential new fans (the target audience) are likely to look. Therefore, the only people who were likely to take you up on the offer, would probably have gone to the game anyway and paid £18/£20, I could be wrong though!

Apologies if this post looks like a swipe at you, it is certainly not intended, you guys on the board are doing a fantastic job. I certainly never expected us to be fighting it out for a playoff place at this stage of the season. I just hope we can finally get the support the club deserves!

Another problem we have this season is the amount of times both Batley and Dewsbury have had is both being at home on the same day and away on the same day and the broken up season.

For example whilst waiting for the bus home I got talking to a fella who classes himself neutral if Batley where away then he would visit Dewsbury and vice e versa, so both clubs shot in the foot by the RFL.

I just want to say that whatever is put on here whether critical or not is fine as we can’t be too precious if inviting input and these are very difficult, challenging and worrying times ahead which is even more depressing when our present team is doing so well and we are watching great rugby.

Good point. This never used to happen at one time, (apart from possibly if we were both drawn at home in the cup). I've noticed this has been the case on a few occasions in recent years, and not just this season. I don't know if  Batley and Dewsbury could get together and ask the RFL what they are playing at, if they haven't done already because it's got to be to the detriment of both clubs to be at home on the same day.

free Beer token,or pie n peas with a game day ticket. Worked fine for Toronto and packed the place to rafters. And am sure they would spend a lot more than the cost of said token.:kolobok_yes:

No offence to the club on the boxers as they are full every home but do they still offer the match game sponsorship or match ball or man of the match? I know a few of us who were talking on Sunday they’d sponsors the ball or man of the match etc

Also if the draw is successful which I hope it is… would it be replicated more?

According to the website they still do match and match ball sponsorship, but no mention of man of the match sponsorship. Sponsorship - Batley Bulldogs

If they do, it might also help to promote commercial opportunities on the clubs official commercial twitter account as it appears to be rarely used for such purposes. Does the club have a Commercial Manager these days? no mention of one on website.

The last Time I knew owt our commercial manager is/was Danny Maun, you usually see him escorting the sponsors to their boxes and such like.

Yes, seen him about, but not aware what his official role is. The clubs official commercial twitter account has a header photo of our former wingman Jodie Broughton. Maybe he is helping out in the Commercial Department as well?

Sorry to go off thread but Kevin seemed to be looking for ideas and most no doubt are impractical but someone out there might come up with a really good idea.                                                                                                                                                                         So, when we played Leigh there was an Asian stall outside what used to be the Taverner's selling coffee and street food.  I presume that it was there because of a soccer tournament but they seemed to do pretty good business with visiting fans.  Our beer garden is great but is there scope for an Asian street food vendor in the ground to improve inclusivity (not everyone wants a beer and a pie), or would it just take away custom from other outlets in the Ground?   I'm also aware that Canterbury Bulldogs have been very successful with multi cultural days.  Again just putting the question, but is there scope for something similar for us?  As has been mentioned in the past Canterbury Bulldogs have been very successful at widening their fan base.

Good idea. You would like to think there would be a lot of potential candidates ready to jump at an opportunity like that, to get involved with a professional sporting establishment and help them gain valuable experience in an industry where jobs are hard to come by.

Always thought there is a lack of a physical presence around the town. Could the Bulldogs not have some sort of stall at the the local markets or something outside Tesco maybe once a week, which is probably the busiest footfall in the town.

I'd also be printing out loads of free kids tickets and dropping them through letterboxes, or certainly pushing free kids tickets at all the local schools.

If we have any friends over at Fev, it might be worth asking them what their secret is.

Might be worth the club taking a look at how Keighley Cougars are doing things. Keighley is not too dissimilar in size and make up of Batley, and also has a diverse population. There seems to be plenty of things going on at the Cougars all for the benefit of their club. They are drawing the crowds in, have an engaging twitter page and a fantastic up to date and informative website too.

It also appears that we are the only club in the Championship and League 1 apart from West Wales Raiders that doesn't have an official Media Man/Woman. Its certainly showing.

This had passed me by I must admit.  Just short of 2,000 for the home game against West Wales.  Wow.

The club do have a media man, John Miller.

The club doesn't have an official Media Man. What we do have is John Miller and a small team all doing their best as volunteers for zero pay.

You can't run a club/business like that. Ultimately it doesn't work, and isn't working.

There is still no mention of the £1000 draw on either of the club's official Facebook and Twitter pages, and on Sunday preference was given to advertise the sale of Pink Weekend t-shirts on the club's socials instead of advertising the details of Summer Bash tickets. Given our apparent perilous financial situation, shouldn't the Summer Bash tickets be a priority. I was of the understanding that we receive commission based on sales.

Off the field things are starting to come to an head, that is obvious from Kevin's recent letter.

If there aren't changes in key areas and quick, then we are sleepwalking into a disaster where we may no longer have a club, and I hope nobody wants that.

Absolutely no axe to grind with the club. Just want what's best for the club that's all.
