Gone to Hull KR as forwards coach with immediate effect. Best of luck Brett, thanks for the work.

Wonder if Tim Spears fancies a job?

Maybe the assistant coach is not the only replacement we need changing now.The game plan never seems to change. Its been like this for z few seasons now

But I just don't see how 5 drives and a kick to the corner can fail.....?

We’ve come a long way as a club since those dark days of playing at Heworth. We are now a decent mid-level Championship team. How do we make the jump to becoming a Featherstone and maybe even SL? Well it comes down to money and probably a new approach.  Without more cash to attract better players we are left with the merry go-round of swapping Championship-level players and picking up the odd Super League player who can no longer play at that level, or youngsters who won’t quite make it. Plus the odd import (not got a great recent record there) and maybe a home-grown youngster or two. It can’t be easy slicing and dicing a limited budget as at present we can’t do a Leigh and have 20+ quality players. This is why we need our better paid players to really deliver. With one exception (Thompson), this hasn’t been the case this season. As to a new approach…let’s face it, we play a dull brand of RL most of the time and have often been clueless near the line against better teams since Cockayne and Horne ceased playing for us.

I just feel that things have become a bit stale and repetitive at the club now.We hardly hear anything from the chairman and playing wise we will only ever be a mid table team unfortunately unless things are freshened up coaching wise now.I have always been against fixtures been changed just for tv especially when you have bought a season ticket and the fixtures change after meaning it has cost you more overall than paying on the day because you can't attend with work commitments during a week. I think there are just a few warning signs appearing that make us less appealing now

After last season when we had the ex super league players in our team who didn't perform for the first half of the season, this season i think we have slightly punched above ourselves with a smaller squad and probably a a smaller budget than last season and in a lot of games played some good rugby, but do think at the moment our halves aren't performing and maybe need some more pace and can take a team around the park, also would like to hear from the chairman a bit more about what's going on with the club, but maybe still getting to grips with everything and if we can finish in the top five this season the knights will have had a great season wouldn't want to a Featherstone or a Leigh supporter if either or both don't go up to super league, also would help if we could get more supporters to the home games.

Great news Benny Cockayne has returned as assistant coach.

Fantastic. Some might say he's outspoken but that's a good character trait at times. He's got some spark about him. UTK Bring back a bit of flair to the kneets.
