Stopped there and checked the poster.

Superten. Named that after his first post many years ago about a different radical restructuring idea!

It’s beats it being called Super League 2, I suppose.

8 English clubs should join the NRL . If the NRL remain with 16 teams . We could have 3 pools of 8 . So English pool would be one pool and two Aussie/ kiwi pools of 8 . You play your own pool home and away which equals 14 games . Then play four teams from each of the other two pools . Four at home / four away for another 8 games giving total of 22 rounds . Then top 12 in merit table of 24 play in knock out to be champions . With top 4 getting a bye in first round . That would also give us room to have an international round robin with Australia , England and New Zealand .

I really don’t think we need to dilute our product over here in Australia

you made your mess over there, sort it out yourself

Nah, don't fancy an away day to the Sydney Football Stadium, would much rather take in the sights, sounds and smells of the Cas bogs.

How many away fans will North Queensland Cowboys take to Warrington on a Thursday night?

About the same as Huddersfield.

Anyway, eight teams opens up some questions...

Wigan

Saints

Leeds

Bradford

Humberside

Cheshire

Cumbria

Calder

No place for Wakefield metropolitan teams, but bring it on.

People called Romans they go the house

Why stop at four make believe clubs and go the whole hog and make eight make believe clubs?

Well did not Rimmer speculate on an expanded World Club tournament when he was interviewed last year?

One for Martyn to tease out I think.

Maybe in 2050 when world travel is cheaper, cleaner and quicker, but It is worth a mindless speculation on a post heatwave Wednesday.

Personally I would prepare the International game concentrated on the national rep gaem than club.
