I’ve just been onto the Warrington Guardian website and there’s an article about the Rugby League Lionesses and the forthcoming World Cup .

On Saturday there’s going to be an exhibition in the shopping mall on the Rugby League Lionesses and 4 ex Lionesses are going to there and are going to be interviewed by Sky .

As I scrolled through the article there’s a photo of Marlie Packer who plays for the England Rah Rah team ? 
Is it me or do journalists do this on purpose or is it just lazy , can’t be bothered journalism who just lump Rugby League under the Rugby umbrella and just think it’s the same sport ?

I would suggest this train on squad means that Sua'ali'i is pretty much nailed on to be on the plane.

There are two wingers in this train on squad, Sua'ali'i and Addo-Carr.

Here are the wingers for the teams left in the competition and who they can play for in the World Cup:

I would say there is 0% chance of that.  With no Selwyn Cobbo in the train on squad, Sua'ali'i has 100% been selected as one of the Kangaroo wingers.

yes - I just meant suaalii is a long way off in my opinion from that standard at this point- when tedesco went off and manu was not there either it cost the roosters their season last weekend - JS was no substitute for either of them - maybe in 3 years time but not now

It's off topic, but give it 2 years and i'd be replacing Tedesco with Suaalii.

Is To'o definitely playing for Samoa? That'd be nice, as he'd be first winger on the Aussie team sheet.

To'o hasn't exactly set the comp on fire this time round like he did last season although he may just be coming back to full fitness and form right now

I watched that Panthers game all season. And it looked like during the regular season they used the left side heavily with tago and may attacking every time but in the playoffs its the right side most of time. It's obviously working by how dominant the panthers are all season

Does Taulagi qualify for Aus? Born in Auckland of Samoan decent and moved to Aus when he was 12..

Can’t honestly remember the rules around such eligibility.

Fair point on Suaalii in terms of the Souths game. Bear in mind that it was a 19-year-old replacing the Aussie FB. He didn't execute passes or show outstanding command, but I'd cut him slack. Big ask to put him there mid-game and expect a seamless performance.

I wouldn't judge his season as a winger based upon his game as a FB in those extraordinary circumstances last weekend where two of the back three were gone.

I think he's a certainty for the 24. I would have had Cobbo as well, mind you!

I think qualification based on residency is 5 years isn't it?

So if the Samoan decent is via a parent/grand parent, he qualifies for all three.

He played origin so he can't play for the Kiwis only for aussie or samoa

I think he's a certainty for the 24. I would have had Cobbo as well, mind you!

I agree on Suali'i I see some fans going off at him after his performance but the kids only 19. He probably hasn't trained all year at fullback. He'll definitely learn from this experience

He can still play for NZ.

Internal Origin rules have no bearing on eligibility for internationals. NZ can pick him. As things stand, he couldn't then play Origin.

It does suggest that wing - or strike centre - might be his long-term positions. I don't like the idea of going off on a young player thrust unexpectedly into a new role in the middle of a frantic game.

His pass selection and presence will get better as he matures. Based upon his 2022, I wouldn't have too many qualms about giving him a starting wing berth.

That may be true, but those Origin contracts would be trumped by international eligibility. 

Ponga hasn't played for the Kiwis because he still wants to play Origin.
