Listening to Acko on the radio, and we are really making hard work of this. Leading 18 - 14 with 10 minutes to go. If we cant be more convincing than this against a team who are getting mullered nearly every week, we have little or no chance of making any progress in the play offs.

Sounds like O'Hagan was the better of the halfbacks, think we need a load of new players for next season.

Do we as fan's expect too much , we have a small budget (apparently) compared to a lot of the championship sides so a bang average season probably is about right , certainly sick of hearing fordy say we're not a million miles away when we clearly are , yes injuries have been a setback but it's the same for most , as always hope for a more entertaining season next year 😀😀😀

Think our budgets one of the biggest, not as big as Leigh or Fevs but up there with the top clubs, something is not right, we're a bit like Warrington next year will be our year, lol.

C’mon lads, chin up. Newcastle’s last home game tonight as a pro team and they put a big shift in. Lots of work gone into Hingano as a central pivot and he’s gone after two minutes. Ronan just made an impact and then went off injured. Listen to Fordy’s after match with me if you need a bit of context. Also he tells it like it is. “Did you think the play 5’s were improved?”  “No!” A wins a win, we get two points and if London do Barra next week, we go to Batley - winnable. Anyway every chance our wonderful Ladies will put a smile on our faces today...😊

If Bradford and Leigh turn Batley over as well, we can still finish 4th and get a home game in the playoffs. Providing we can beat Workington that is.

I only glanced last night but don’t think we can, inferior points diff.

In short, due to points difference if Batley beat Bradford today they’ll get 4th. If they lose to both Bradford (unlikely) and Leigh, they’ll finish on 34 points. York are currently on 34 points with just Workington to go.

4th - Batley 34pts +217 Bradford (H), Leigh (A)

5th - York 34pts +19 Workington (H)

6th - Barrow 33pts +146 Dewsbury (H), London (A)

As for yesterday’s match, I wasn’t there so can’t comment but we never seem to run away with victory up there. Also Newcastle have had a handful of good home victories over Widnes and Bradford so to grind out a win despite the loss of Hingano is pleasing.

I think fans usually want one of two things - to be entertained or to grind out wins. To have both is even better. But when for most of the second half of the season we haven’t been entertaining, and haven’t ground out many wins (apart from against those near the foot of the table) that’s when we get frustrated.

Here’s hoping we give our all in the playoffs, get our post season recruitment right and just play with a bit more freedom.

Is it a bad injury for Hingano

A win is a win ,but we are struggling with our attacking plays again last night and having to rely on our defence to win us games obviously losing Hingano early in the game didn't help us but we still have enough talent to finish our attacking sets better than we did last night ,but felt that we were always in control of the game against average opposition.
